About the journal

The European Educational Research Journal (EERJ) is an international peer-reviewed journal devoted to Europeanization in educational research, and is the official journal of  the European Educational Research Association (EERA). It publishes aspects of educational research which illuminate the cases and contents of the emerging borderless space of European educational research. A Policy Statement is available.

Policy-makers, administrators and practitioners with an interest in European issues are now invited to subscribe. The EERJ publishes peer reviewed articles, essay reviews and research reports (forms of research intelligence across Europe)

The National Foundation for Educational Research is a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity (no. 313392). It is governed by a Board of Trustees and managed on a day-to-day basis by a senior management team headed by the Chief Executive, who reports to the Board of Trustees.

WERA Mission and Goals

The World Education Research Association (WERA) is an association of 27 national, regional, and international specialty research associations aimed at advancing education research as a scientific and scholarly field. WERA was founded on April 18, 2009 in San Diego, California, when representatives of the member associations officially approved its establishment in accordance with the mission and articles set forth in its proposed constitution.

WERA is governed by a Council, which consists of five elected officers and one representative from each of the 27 WERA member associations. [Click here for list of Council Members]

WERA Executive Committee

Eva L. Baker, Distinguished Professor of Education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), is the first President of WERA. Baker heads an Executive Committee which includes President-elect Yin Cheong Cheng, Vice President Jo-Anne Reid, Secretary General Felice J. Levine and Past President Ingrid Gogolin.[Click here for officer bios] The Executive Committee began serving a two-year term on May 6, 2010 at the conclusion of the Second Council Meeting in Denver.
